7+ Years Behind the Camera

I partnered closely with directors and producers to establish meticulously crafted camera blocking and composition standards for over 80 short-form pieces (4-15 minutes each). These productions were showcased on prominent platforms such as VICE, Noisey, Munchies, Showtime, Vogue, THEM, Miss Universe, the NBA, and Columbia University, among others.ensuring each frame not only met but exceeded network-approved visual expectations.

A profound mastery of film equipment, spanning from intricate lighting setups to advanced video and audio gear, amplifies my expertise in troubleshooting, maintenance, and executing repairs with precision, efficiency, and comprehensive understanding of their nuanced functionalities.

Gear

Personal access to an extensive array of professional gear, allows us to keep gear rental fees low. My go-to kit includes a Canon C300Mk2, tripod, Sennheiser lav kits, Astra and Nanlite lights, Go-Pros, and a selection of lenses such as the 16-55mm, 70-200mm, and 24-105mm, as well as a variety of prime lenses. Throughout my career in film, I have thrived in diverse and challenging environments, collaborating with a wide range of individuals and subjects. From high-stress situations like protests and unsafe locations to the controlled environment of studio and cooking shoots, I have adapted my cinematography skills to suit each unique setting. My ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a keen eye for visual storytelling has allowed me to excel in capturing compelling footage across varied contexts.

I always maintain a set budget for work, including rental fees, but I am open to negotiating prices and equipment packages based on the specific scope and requirements of each project. Flexibility and creativity are key, and I am committed to finding the best approach to bring each vision to life, whether it's through utilizing a comprehensive gear setup or embracing the simplicity and intimacy of minimalistic production.

Editing

In addition to my extensive experience as a director of photography, I have honed my skills in editing over the years and can take on editing work if needed. While I often hand off footage to a dedicated editor, I am fully capable of creating compelling content in both long and short form formats. My dual expertise in shooting and editing ensures a seamless transition from capturing footage to producing the final product, allowing for consistent quality and vision throughout the entire production process.

Photography

While I specialize as a director of photography, my over 10 years of experience as a nature photographer have deeply enriched my ability to create visually appealing images. This extensive background has provided me with a nuanced understanding of crucial techniques such as ISO, f-stop, shutter speed, temperature, and coloring. These skills seamlessly bridge my work in both photography and cinematography, allowing me to capture images—whether moving or still—with a unique perspective. This blend of expertise enhances my ability to tell compelling visual stories and ensures each frame is crafted with meticulous attention to detail.
